Name: _____________________________________________ Alpha: ___________________

Describe help received: ________________________________________________________

  • Due before class on Wednesday, April 26
  • This is an electronic homework and you do not need to print out anything to turn in during class.

Assignment

  1. There is no reading or assigned work for this HW and class will not be held on Wednesday, 26 April.

Instead, you must attend the yard-wide capstone day and take note of at least two different projects that relate to this class. Print and fill out the portion of Friday's Homework that asks you to record your thoughts on two capstone projects related to SI204.

The schedule for capstone day is like this:

    • Morning (0855-1145): Research presentations.
Come hear outstanding 1/C and 2/C who have done undergraduate resarch talk about their projects and answer your questions.
Locations for some closely related areas:
      • Computer Science: Michelson 201
      • Communications: Rickover 237B and 239
      • Cyber Science: Michelson 221
      • Autonomous drones and bots: Rickover 229 and 230
      • Applied Math: Chauvenet 320 and 351
A complete schedule of the morning is available here.
    • Afternoon (1315-1530): Poster session.
All 150+ capstone projects will be on display in Alumni Hall. This is your chance to take the time to talk to the upperclass who have done these projects and really understand what the challenges were, how it worked, etc. Don't just be a passive attendee; take the time to really examine a few projects that seem interesting to you!
